On 21-22 October, the Azerbaijan National Carpet Museum hosted the international hybrid conference Artist and Carpet: Today and Tomorrow.

34 specialists from Azerbaijan, Turkey, Japan, Argentina, Ukraine, Turkmenistan, Russia, Latvia, Austria, Germany, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan joined the conference. 

During the 2-day academic sessions the participants delivered presentations in-person and also online on the following topics: Carpet Artists Within Tradition, Carpet in the Works of Contemporary Artists, Curatorial Projects on Contemporary Carpet Weaving, Contemporary Carpet Art of Azerbaijan.
