As part of the Year of Shusha, large-scale work is being carried out to revive the cultural capital of Azerbaijan. The construction of the new building for the ANCM's Shusha branch has already begun.
The ANCM is implementing numerous projects to contribute to all this work. These include the restoration and conservation of carpets, clothing, and jewelry that belong to Shusha: the late 19th-century Shusha carpet, traditional women's clothing kurdu, the 20th-century arkhalig, and two belts. These objects, along with other exhibits of the Shusha branch collection, will return to their native land after 30 years of separation.
