The Director noted that among the total 11 unique art pieces donated to the Museum by the master, there are two 18th-century shields, the 19th-century daggers, as well as swords and daggers of his authorship. “The shields of Qajar’s period made of steel and bronze with perfect workmanship and delicate taste are the priceless art pieces. Nowadays, such original artworks of Azerbaijani culture are being preserved in the world-famous museums”, Dr Melikova said.

Mammadov’s contributions to the preservation and development of this nearly forgotten national heritage, despite the fact that the artist lives far from his homeland.
