Harvest Festival by the artist Salar Mammadov from the museum’s collection.
Although this work by the renowned tapestry master is woven in a classical way, the fringe gives it an unusual, movable shape. The work represents warm colors: yellow, red, orange. Three young girls dancing at the festival form a composition rich in floral patterns. Their white silk shawls add another valuable content to the work referring to the symbolism of this color as a sign of purity. The tapestry pictures trays with fruits of a rich harvest decorated with fringes.
