Carpet Astronautics
Today marks the 60th anniversary of the first human spaceflight. This week we will enjoy space-themed carpets from the museum's collection.

The central field of the narrative ornamental composition of the carpet depicts a monumental image of a person rushing into space. Stars, planets, and celebrated spacecraft adorn the central field. The arches at the top of the carpet and the borders are embellished with rich floral designs.
In the center of the arch, the author placed the image of V.I.Lenin. Images of hero astronauts, conquerors of space Y. Gagarin, V. Tereshkova, G. Titov, and others decorate the carpet border.
